LPA, northeast monsoon combine for a rainy Monday

MANILA —A low pressure area (LPA) was spotted some 80 kilometers northwest of Cuyo, Palawan while the northeast monsoon is affecting Luzon for a wet Monday.

In its 4 a.m. weather forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Visayas, Palawan, Bicol Region, Davao Region and Caraga would be cloudy to cloudy with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms caused by the LPA.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rains due to the northeast monsoon.

The rest of Mindanao will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorm.

Extreme northern Luzon will have strong winds from the northeast with rough to very rough coastal waters.

Temperature in Metro Manila ranges from 24-30 degrees Celsius; Tuguegarao City 23-28 degrees Celsius; Baguio 14-22 degrees Celsius; Angeles City 20-28 degrees Celsius; Lipa City 24-27 degrees Celsius; Metro Cebu 24-30 degrees Celsius; and Metro Davao 25-33 degrees Celsius.
