Addressing food, economic crisis, among netizens SONA ‘wish list’

As President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. delivers his maiden State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Monday, July 25, PTV Digital Media asked netizens what their biggest wishes are for the new administration.

Netizens highlighted the need for cheaper fertilizers amid the food crisis and rising cost of commodities.

As inflation in the country inches up, many wish that Marcos Jr.’s administration would provide more jobs for Filipinos.

“Jobs, jobs, jobs.

Meanwhile, TV host Kim Atienza said he hopes Marcos Jr. will focus on the country’s COVID-19 pandemic response.

“Wala nang lockdown, learn to live with [COVID] as an endemic and not get a [Department of Health] secretary who believes that face shields protect you,” Atienza said.

Marcos Jr. will deliver his first SONA on Monday at the Batasang Pambansa.-ngs
