AFP dismayed over release of 9 Sulu cops

The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) was dismayed on the release of nine police personnel involved in the shooting incident that killed four soldiers in Sulu on June 29, 2020.

AFP Spokesperson Marine MGen. Edgard Arevalo said they are saddened by the non-issuance of warrant of arrest by a court in Sulu despite the series of charges filed by the Department of Justice (DOJ).

The AFP is now coordinating with other government agencies for the issuance of arrest warrants.

For its part, the Philippine National Police (PNP) Internal Affairs Service (IAS) has filed an administrative case against the police officers early on September. – PTV News
