Agusan del Sur, Agusan del Norte governors: Build, Build, Build program greatly benefitted provinces

By NG Seruela

The provincial governments of Agusan del Norte and Agusan del Sur believe that the Duterte administration’s Build, Build, Build program has greatly benefitted the provinces.

Agusan del Norte governor Dale Corvera said the roads, bridges, and infrastructures that the administration would “have completed or started by the next year” will “practically stand as an edifice that would bear his name.”

Agusan del Sur governor Santiago Cane Jr. affirmed that the Build, Build, Build program of the President that linked farms to market roads has greatly helped the transportation of farm inputs and products.

“Na-appreciate po namin ang programang ‘yan lalo na sa Build, Build, Build program ay malaking tulong po iyan sa probinsya ng Agusan del Sur, paunti-unti na pong na-semento ang daanan dito, linking one municipality to other, farm to market roads na paunti-unti na pong natatapos.”

“Iyong mga tulay ng Pangulo program which links the palayan areas sa Bayugan City, malaking tulong po iyon para sa pag-transport ng mga farm inputs at farm products from the farm to the market area,” he said.

Corvera added that “surviving the pandemic, despite the limited resources” and criticisms as well as the whole-of-nation approach is part of the Duterte legacy.

“Wala tayong resources na malaki, may mga batikos pa, but we survived…At itong the whole-of-nation approach being used in the Duterte administration in winning back those who were with the NPA… To me, this is one legacy that should be continued by the next administration.”

Both governors wished for the continuity of the programs Duterte implemented under his term.

“Sana ipagpatuloy kasi lahat po ito ay napakinabangan po sa greater majority of our people. What is important is that the majority of our people are benefitted by these programs. We are very much satisfied by the performance of the current administration at sana tuloy-tuloy na ito,” Cane said. -bny
