Alab blasts Saigon in Game 1 of ABL quarterfinals

MANILA — San Miguel Alab Pilipinas blasted Saigon Heat, 110-100, in Game 1 of their ABL quarterfinal series at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan City on Sunday night.

It was basically an all-Alab show from start to finish as they gradually pulled away from the Heat, opening a lead that reached as much as 22 points before holding off a late Heat run in the end.

Ray-Ray Parks led Alab, which can close out the series on Saturday night at the CIS Arena in Ho Chi Minh City, with 24 points, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

Justin Brownlee added 22 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists, and one steal. Lawrence Domingo came off the bench to tally 18 points, six rebounds, and one assist.

Maxie Esho dropped 42 points in a losing effort for Saigon along with 11 rebounds, one assist, and a steal. (PNA)
