‘Alay Lakad’ returns to Antipolo Cathedral after 2 years

“Alay Lakad” to return to Antipolo Cathedral after more than two years.

Before the COVID-19 pandemic, every Holy Week, millions of Filipino Catholics join the “alay-lakad” going to Antipolo Cathedral.

“Tuwing Semana Santa, milyon-milyong Pilipino ang nakikiisa sa Alay Lakad bilang paraan nila upang magnilay, magdasal, at gunitain ang pagpapakasakit, pagkamatay, at pagkabuhay ng Panginoong Hesukristo,” the Antipolo Cathedral said.

“Ngayon 2023, muling magbabalik ang Alay Lakad. Kasama ang Mahal na Birhen ng Antipolo, inaaanyayahan ang lahat ng mga denoto na magrosaryo, makilahok, at taimtim na magdasal sa Daan ng Krus,” the Cathedral added.

“Alay Lakad” is one of the long-standing traditions of Filipino Catholics where they show their faith and perseverance.

“Likas sa kaalaman ng karamihan na isa pagkakakilanlan ng Alay Lakad sa Antipolo ang dami ng bilang ng mga kabataan na nakikiisa.”
