Alice Guo’s brother is also Chinese — Gatchalian

MATCHED. Senator Sherwin Gatchalian on Wednesday (July 3, 2024), released documents showing that suspended Mayor Alice Guo’s brother, Wesley, is a Chinese citizen named Guo Xiang Dian. Gatchalian’s office also found out that Wesley Guo has a Chinese passport that he interchangeably used, along with this Philippine passport, from 2003 onwards. (Photo courtesy of Sen. Gatchalian)

The brother of suspended Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo, Wesley Leal Guo, is also a Chinese national named Guo Xiang Dian, a document released by Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian showed.

“Si Guo Xiang Dian ay si Wesley Leal Guo. Isa na namang patunay na inabuso ng pamilya ni Guo Hua Ping a.k.a Alice Guo ang late registration para magpanggap na sila ay Pilipino,” Gatchalian wrote in a Facebook post.

Citing NBI data, the senator said the Chinese national’s fingerprints matched with Mr. Guo’s records from the Board of Investments (BOI) and biometric records from the NBI.

“Guo Xiang Dian arrived in the Philippines in 1999. He’s listed as the dependent son of Lin Wen Yi, which made him Guo Hua Ping’s brother,” he said.

“Wesley Leal Guo is an incorporator of CDAG Reality Corporation in which Alice Guo is the majority owner,” he added.

Lin Wen Yi is the Chinese national who is alleged to be the real mother of Mayor Guo. Fingerprint matching of Mayor Guo and Lin’s daughter, Guo Hua Ping, also yielded an “identical” result, according to the NBI.

Gatchalian also revealed that Guo Xiang Dian has a current Chinese passport that will expire in 2025, which he used “interchangeably from 2003 onwards” along with his Philippine passport.

“This again demonstrates that the late registration process was abused by the Guo family to falsely claim that they are Filipinos,” he said.

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) previously endorsed the cancellation of Mayor Guo’s certificate of live birth as the process of her birth registration was said to be irregular.

Guo’s family members were also issued subpoenas to attend the next Senate investigation into the mayor’s links to an illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) hub raided in her municipality. (with report from Daniel Manalastas/PTV News)
