Amihan brings cloudy skies, rain showers over parts of Luzon

By Ma. Teresa Montemayor | Philippine News Agency

Cloudy skies with rain showers will prevail over Cagayan Valley and Bicol regions, the provinces of Apayao, Kalinga, Ifugao, Mountain Province, Aurora, and Quezon due to the northeast monsoon or amihan, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Sunday (Dec. 26).

In its bulletin, the weather bureau said amihan will also affect Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, bringing partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.

Visayas and Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds moving northeast will blow over Luzon with moderate to rough coastal waters, while light to moderate winds heading northeast will be experienced in Visayas and Mindanao with slight to moderate coastal waters.

The minimum temperature is 22.6 °C and the maximum temperature is 31.0 °C. (PNA) – jlo
