Amihan to bring rains over parts of Luzon

Rains will dampen some parts of Luzon due to the northeast monsoon or amihan, the weather bureau said Wednesday (Oct. 27).

In its 4:00 a.m. weather advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said cloudy skies with light rains are expected over the provinces of Aurora and Quezon.

On the other hand, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains will prevail over the Ilocos, Cordillera, and Cagayan Valley regions, as well as the rest of central Luzon.

The rest of the country will experience isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas will prevail over northern Luzon.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas.

PAGASA has monitored two active tropical cyclones outside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) but weather forecaster Benison Estareja said these would not enter the country.

“Both the tropical depression and severe tropical storm Malou will not enter PAR. There will be no tropical depression for this week,” he said. (PNA) – jlo
