Anak TV formally kicked off the 2026 Anak TV Awards season in Ilocos Sur, beginning the nationwide screening and voting process that determines which television programs will earn the coveted Anak TV seal.

The symposium held at Saint Paul College of Ilocos Sur combined media education with actual program screenings, underscoring Anak TV’s advocacy of empowering Filipino families to become responsible and discerning media consumers.

Anak TV President Elvira Yap-Go said in her speech, “Anuman ang sitwasyon ng inyong pamilya, mahalaga ang papel ninyo bilang magulang. Kayo ang ilaw na gumagabay sa mga bata. Being the light means guiding your children to make the right and responsible decisions on their media consumption.”

Keynote speakers were Knowledge Channel Foundation, Inc. platforms and partnerships Head Danie Rose Sedilla-Cruz and Anak TV Vice President and ABS-CBN corporate communications head Kane Errol Choa.

Sedilla-Cruz spoke about empowering children through responsible content creation, while Choa presented case studies on hate and cyberbullying on social media, underscoring responsible online behavior and offering practical coping strategies to survive online bullying.
