Anti-terrorism Law to take effect tomorrow

The Anti-terrorism Law will take effect tomorrow, July 18, the Department of Justice (DOJ) stated.

“Considering that the law was published on July 3, it will take effect on July 18, which is the 15th day,” the Department of Justice (DOJ) said.

“We rectify our earlier statement that the law will take effect after the 15th day, or on July 19. Our apologies,” DOJ Secretary Menardo Guevarra clarified.

Sec. Guevarra disclosed they are about to start drafting the implementing rules and regulations which they have to finish in 90 days.

“The IRR will likewise have to be published when it is done,” he added.
