Ardot Parojinog faces 3-month jail term in Taiwan: PNP

MANILA — Fugitive Ozamiz City councilor Ricardo “Ardot” Parojinog will be behind bars in Taiwan for at least three months, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said Monday.

Speaking to newsmen, Directorate for Intelligence head Director Gregorio R. Pimentel said they are working for Parojinog’s immediate trip back to the country.

Parojinog is facing charges in Taiwan for falsification of documents and illegal entry.

He supposedly used a fake Bureau of Internal Revenue ID and professional driver’s license under the name Alberto Garcia Cruz in slipping out of the country.

A separate charge for illegal possession of firearms has been also lodged against the suspect.

Ardot is the brother of Ozamiz City Mayor Reynaldo “Aldong” Parojinog, who was killed in an anti-drug raid by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group and the Ozamiz City police last year. (Benjamin Pulta/PNA)
