MANILA, July 3 — Around 2,300 human resource practitioners from the government, private sectors, and participants from the Association of Southeast Nations (ASEAN) are expected to attend a two-day symposium at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay, aimed to highlight topics focusing on global trends and best practices on human resource (HR) management and organization development (OD)
The event which will be held on July 4 to 6, entitled “2017 Public Sector Human Resource Symposium” and is organized by the Civil Service Commission (CSC), according to Media Relations Officer Ethel Montemayor.
Before the holding of the opening ceremony of the symposium in the afternoon, a Ribbon Cutting of the Exhibit will commence in the morning followed by a media briefing, she said.
The Ribbon Cutting led by Civil Service Commission Chairperson Alicia dela Rosa –Bala will feature the “Arta Caravan” which shows various frontline service innovations of selected government agencies.
Montemayor said the event is in line with the 10th year celebration of the signing into law of Republic Act No. 9485 or the Anti-Red Tape Act of 2007.
The Arta Caravan exhibit will showcase the involvement of government agencies which provide key frontline services . such as the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) for the application of the Tax Identification Number (TIN), the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) for passport applications, and the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation for request for IDs and member data record, among others government agencies such as the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI),Government Service Insurance System (GSIS),Land Registration
Administration(LRA), Land Transportation Office (LTO), National Statistics Office (NSO), Social Security System (SSS), Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP), Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA),University of the Philippines (UP), and the CSC’s Field Office.
Arta caravan provides an opportunity for the public to hit multiple offices in a single venue with the aim to improve the delivery of services of the participating government agencies, and is aimed at instilling consciousness and a sense of involvement of the public in good governance and anti-corruption initiatives of the government, according to a CSC document.(PR) | via PNA
