Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union elected PTV’s GM Dr. Castillo as admin council

The Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) has elected People’s Television Network, Inc.’s (PTNI) General Manager and Chief Operating Officer Dr. Julio Castillo Jr. as a new member of its Administrative Council.

The Administrative Council of ABU is known as the “board of directors” and its members are elected at the annual general assembly to serve for a term of three years.

The ABU serves most of the world’s population as the biggest global broadcasting union that gives rights-free content in developing countries, as well as supporting broadcast media development in the Asia-Pacific region.

The union is in ties with the regional broadcasting unions in different parts of the world on matters of common concern.

Dr. Castillo, a seasoned professor and lecturer in different reputable universities in the country has also served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of PTNI from 2018 to 2020 before being elected as the general manager of the network. Katrina Gracia Consebido
