AstraZeneca OKs PH private sector request to purchase more vaccines


British biopharmaceutical company AstraZeneca approved the request of the Philippine private sector to purchase the second batch of vaccines.

According to Presidential Adviser on Entrepreneurship Joey Concepcion, AstraZeneca is processing the vaccine procurement after signing the agreement. The agreement to supply 2.6 million doses of vaccine was signed by 30 individuals from the private sector and Vaccine Czar Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr., and AstraZeneca President-PH country Lotis Ramin.

Under the signed deal, half of the vaccines procured will be donated to the government while the remaining will be for the employees of the private sector. – PTV News
