Auring leaves ₱24M agri, infra damage in CARAGA

The worth of damage brought about by Tropical Storm Auring has reached ₱24 million in the CARAGA Region.

Based on the report of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), Auring’s impact on the agriculture sector has been estimated at ₱21.4 million.

Infrastructure in the region were also not spared from the onslaught of the tropical storm and sustainwd ₱2.8 million worth of damages.

At least 226 houses were totally damaged while 453 were partially affected. Almost 50,000 residents from Bicol, Visayas, and Mindanao were displaced.

The NDRRMC earlier reported one casualty, two injured individuals, and four missing due to Auring. – PTV
