Bacolod-Silay airport runway closed on Friday morning

MANILA — The Bacolod-Silay Airport’s runway 03/21 will be closed on Friday (Nov. 9), from 8 a.m. to 12 noon, to give way to a full-scale emergency exercise to be held during that period.

“This is a requirement for the airport’s aerodrome certification, a certification for its navigational equipment,” Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) spokesperson Eric Apolonio told the Philippine News Agency (PNA) on Wednesday.

According to CAAP, the following flights will be canceled or delayed due to the runway’s closure:

Philippine Airlines:

(PR) 2331/2332 Clark-Bacolod-Clark
