Bad weather in Japan prompts CEB, PAL to cancel Manila-Japan flights

MANILA — The inclement weather in Japan prompted local carriers to cancel their flights between Manila and Japan on Saturday morning, the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) said.

Cancelled flights were Philippine Airlines (PR) 421/422 Haneda-Manila-Haneda, PR 408 Manila-Kansai, PR 438 Manila-Nagoya, and Cebu Pacific (5J) 5054/5055 Manila-Narita-Manila.

Typhoon Jongdari is expected to intensify and might make landfall in Japan this weekend, according to the Japanese weather agency. (Ma. Cristina Arayata/PNA)
