Bagong hemodialysis facility sa NKTI, bubuksan sa katapusan

Handa nang tumanggap ng mga pasyente ang itinayong karagdagang hemodialysis facility sa National Kidney and Transplant Institute (NKTI) sa Quezon City. 

Kumpleto na sa kagamitan ang nasabing pasilidad, at pormal na itong ipinasa ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) sa NKTI at Department of Health (DOH) ngayong araw (Mayo 5).

Ito ay bubuksan sa katapusan ng Mayo, at kaya nitong maglaman ng 60 COVID-19 positive outpatients sa isang araw.

Ayon sa NKTI, malaki ang maitutulong ng pasilidad para sa mga pasyenteng may COVID-19 na nangangailangan ng dialysis.

“Ito ‘yung itinayo natin para ‘yung mga COVID-19 positive cases mayroong mapupuntahan. Kasi dati, tent lang…mahirap, nababasa sila,” ani DOH Undersecretary Leopoldo Vega. 

Kasama na sa itinayo ng DPWH ang off-site dormitory para sa 32 health care workers.

Nakikipag-ugnayan ang DPWH sa iba pang mga ospital sa Metro Manila na may open area upang patayuan ng mga modular hospital.

“Ngayon mayroon sa Lung Center, sa likod nito mayroon tayong 110 facility. Mayroon din sa ibang lugar, Ospital ng Maynila. Tuloy-tuloy naman, almost 300 ang naka-pipeline at karamihan matatapos this month,” ani DPWH Secretary Mark Villar. – Ulat ni Karen Villanda/AG-jlo
