Bagong rates ng COVID-19 testing packages, inilabas ng PhilHealth

Inanunsyo ng Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) ang mga bagong benefit package rates nito para sa plate-based at cartridge-based Reverse Transcription – Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) COVID-19 testing. Ang mga ito ay nakapaloob sa PhilHealth Circular No. 2021-0021 na naging epektibo pagkalathala nito noong Nobyembre 30, 2021.

Sa nasabing Circular, ang coverage ng Ahensya para sa plate-based RT-PCR ay nagkakahalaga ng P800 hanggang P2,800; at P500 hanggang P2,450 naman para sa cartridge-based tests.

Binase ng PhilHealth ang mga bagong rates sa revised costing estimates at price cap na itinakda ng Department of Health (DOH) at Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). Dagdag ng PhilHealth, patuloy ang pag-monitor at pag-review nito sa implementasyon ng kanilang benefit packages para mabigyan ng financial risk protection ang kanilang mga benepisyaryo.

Ang COVID-19 testing benefits ay maaaring ma-avail sa mga PhilHealth-accredited testing laboratories. Paalala ng PhilHealth na ang isang miyembro ay entitled sa benepisyo ayon sa DOH guidelines sa priority sub-groups para sa SARS-CoV-2 testing. Sa kabilang banda, nilinaw ng PhilHealth na makatatanggap pa rin ng coverage ang mga magpapa-testing na hindi pa rehistrado sa programa.
