“Balik Probinsya, Bagong Pag-asa” program adds 700 beneficiaries

700 individuals and families have been added to the beneficiaries of the “Balik Probinsya, Bagong Pag-asa” program of the government.

According to “Balik Probinsya, Bagong Pag-asa” Council Executive and National Housing Authority (NHA) General Manager Marcelino Escalada, the 700 beneficiaries are scheduled to return home on June.

The returning distressed individuals will receive Php 30,000 worth of transport, livelihood, and capital assistance. Family-beneficiaries may receive up to Php 100,000 in package assistance.

Other than cash assistance, housing and jobs are also given by the NHA, Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

Meanwhile, NHA GM Escalada assured that coordination with the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) is being made regarding the health requirement guidelines.

Balik Probinsya beneficiaries are required to submit a medical health certificate and quarantine certificate as proof that they have undergone a 14-day quarantine.
