Balik Probinsya program helps seafarers return home

More than 500 seafarers will return home safely to their families after having finished their 14-day mandatory quarantine. They have been issued the authority to travel and given a free ticket to their respective provinces with the help of the Balik Probinsya program of the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) Sub-task group on Repatriated OFWs.

There are initially 69 seafarers who have gone home to Cebu, Dumaguete, Ozamis, and in other parts of Mindanao. More seafarers will be expected to return home in the coming days amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. – Report from Cleizl Pardilla
