MANILA — At least three domestic banks have assured their clients of the availability of their digital platforms on Election Day on Monday, which Malacañang declared as a special non-working holiday.

In an advisory, the management of UCPB said all its branches nationwide will be closed on Monday and operations will resume on Tuesday.

“UCPB ATMs (automated teller machines), internet banking and mobile banking facilities will remain available for clients’ transactions,” it said.

Relatively, the management of Philippine Savings Bank (PSBank) said all its branches around the country will also be closed on Monday but its 577 ATMs, as well as the PSBank Mobile and PSBank Online facilities will be operational.

It, however, explained that all payroll crediting on May 13 will proceed along with the automatic debit agreements for bills payments with due date on Monday.

Payment for loans through the auto debit agreement will be value dated on its original date but will be debited on May 14, it said.

“Accounts not debited on May 13 due to insufficient funds should be funded by May 14 to avoid penalties,” it said.
Check clearing and settlement will be suspended on Monday and those received after the cut-off time on May 10 will be processed on May 14.

“No penalties will be charged for checks dated May 13 intended for PSBank loan payments,” it said.

PSBank also said that time deposits with maturities on May 13 will be processed the following day.

It advised its customers to call the bank’s hotline, (02) 845-8888, send an e-mail to [email protected], or access the live chat channel at www.psbank.com.ph for inquiries.

Meanwhile, the management of Security Bank said its branches at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) and NAIA Terminal 3 will be operating on Monday while the rest will be closed “to allow our employees to vote in the 2019 mid-term elections.”

“For assistance, you may call our Customer Contact Center at 88-791-88 or email us at [email protected],” it added.
