MANILA — Chief Justice Lucas Bersamin urged judiciary workers on Friday to be model government employees.

Addressing court employees during the Supreme Court’s Christmas party, Bersamin said responsible judiciary workers do not waste time on social media.

Last Wednesday, Bersamin also announced that he will be imposing a stricter dress code in the judiciary during his visit at the Quezon City Hall of Justice. He said wearing shorts and t-shirts would no longer be allowed. Wearing mini-skirts, particularly micro-minis are strongly discouraged.

Bersamin said men and women should wear shirts with a collar for men and round neck t-shirts should no longer be allowed.

“For the male employee of the judiciary. May collar dapat ang isuot ninyo. No loud colors please,” he said. For women, Bersamin said that they should wear clothes with sleeves, together with a coat or blazer.

Next 10 months, please do it for my sake,” Bersamin stated.
