Big-time drug pusher nabbed; P680K ‘shabu’ seized

LEGAZPI CITY – Police arrested a high-value target drug peddler and confiscated some PHP680,000 worth of suspected shabu in an operation in Barangay Balatas, Naga City on Tuesday afternoon.

Arrested was Amelia Silvestre alias “Madam Bibi” of Barangay Cristo Rey, Iriga City, said Supt. Errol Garchitorena, Naga City Police Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) chief.

Garchitorena, in his report, said the suspect was arrested while selling suspected shabu to a policeman posing as buyer at her house in Zone 3 of said village at around 3:05 p.m.

Seized from the suspect were 100 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of PHP680,000.

The suspect is now detained at the city jail awaiting the filing of charges of violation of Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (Mar Serrano/PNA)
