‘Biyaya ng Pagbabago’ to be launched in Bohol on Saturday

CEBU CITY — President Rodrigo Duterte’s “Biyaya ng Pagbabago” anti-poverty program will be launched in Talibon, Bohol on Saturday.

Kilusang Pagbabago (KP) Movement’s Visayas lead convenor Doris Isubal-Mongaya, in an interview on Friday, said Cabinet Secretary Leoncio Evasco Jr. will grace the whole-day event that will be held at the San Jose National High School in Talibon.

Mongaya said the launch in Bohol’s 2nd Congressional District will be followed by subsequent roll-outs in other two districts.

Office for Participatory Governance (OPG) Undersecretary Joselito Libres and Office of Supervised Agencies (OSA) Undersecretary John Vistal will be on hand to fully explain the poverty alleviation program to Boholanos.

As in the program’s Cebu launch last week, 23 national government agencies will put up booths and showcase their services at the San Jose National High School grounds.

“Biyaya ng Pagbabago”, short for “Biyaya ng Pagbabago Tungo sa Masagana at Matiwasay na Buhay Pilipino”, is a program initiated by the Office of the Cabinet Secretary through the OPG in partnership with KP, a mass movement of

Duterte supporters, which has some 300,000 members in the Visayas.

It aims to bring various poverty alleviation programs of the Duterte administration to the communities.
“Biyaya ng Pagbabago” will also be launched in Tacloban City on May 5, in Iloilo on May 19, Roxas City on May 26, Ormoc on June 2, Catarman on June 9, Sagay, Negros Occidental on June 16, and in Dumaguete on June 30. (PNA)
