Bizman gunned down in Nueva Ecija

CABANATUAN CITY, Nueva Ecija — A 51-year-old businessman and officer of a media organization was killed by unidentified riding-in-tandem suspects along Mabini St., Barangay Quezon District here before Saturday midnight.

Police identified the victim as Manuel Lacsamana, resident of Barangay Bitas, this city.

According to police investigation, the victim was driving a pick-up truck when he was fired at by unidentified suspects on board a single motorcycle at around 11:40 p.m. Saturday.

The victim, who sustained gunshot wounds in different parts of the body, was declared dead on arrival at the Paulino J. Garcia Memorial Research and Medical Center here.

Forensic investigators recovered nine spent shells from cal. 45 pistol and a slug. The victim had a gun but was not fired.

The victim, who was a popular subdivision developer and contractor, was also a quarry operator.

He has been a supporter of media group Central Luzon Media Association (CLMA) where he was chairman of the Board of Directors.
