As the Bureau of Customs (BOC) continuously implements its mandate to mark fully paid imported petroleum products under the Fuel Marking Program, the Enforcement and Security Service (ESS) and the Fuel Marking Team continuously conducts checkpoints at Roman Highway, Brgy. Daang Pari, Orion Bataan, to sternly check the compliance of oil importers and stakeholders.
Beginning with its implementation from September 2019 to September 2021, which also marks the start of the 3rd year implementation of the Program, the Port of Limay and Sub-Port of Mariveles marked a total of 10.6 Billion liters of kerosene, diesel and gasoline.
The markers serve as identifiers during field testing to determine the presence of illicit fuel in the market.
