Eddie Garcia, considered one of the pillars of the movie industry, suffered a neck fracture when he tripped during the taping of a teleserye. Family and friends continue to express their concern for the respected movie icon.

Senator-elect Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go visited Manong Eddie while he was recovering in the intensive care unit of the Makati Medical Center.

“Andito kami ng dalawa kong kaibigan para gisingin si Tito Eddie,” Go told reporters, sharing that the veteran actor is the stepfather of one of his close friends.

In a brief media interview, Go mentioned how Eddie Garcia who he fondly calls Tito Eddie, was very supportive during the Senatorial campaign.

Ipagdasal po natin na humaba pa ang kanyang buhay,” Go said.

The senator was accompanied by actors Philip Salvador and Robin Padilla when he visited Eddie Garcia in Makati Medical hospital. Both actors also asked fans to keep praying for the recovery of Eddie Garcia.

Robin Padilla also appealed to the public to refrain from spreading irresponsible rumors about the condition of Mr. Garcia.

Eddie Garcia is still recovering and is in the intensive care unit as of press time.
