Brgy captain slain in Batangas

A barangay captain in Barangay San Carlos in Lipa City, Batangas was shot dead early Sunday morning, Feb. 26.

Vivencio Palo, 60, resident and barangay captain of Barangay San Carlos was unloading his merchandise after a black vehicle stopped in front of him and peppered him with bullets.

Palo was immediately rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

The authorities are still investigating the motive for the shooting and the persons behind the crime.

The local government is offering P200,000 to whoever can give information about the suspect. With a report from Catleya Antonio-ag
