BSKE candidates, gov’t employee surrender firearms

VILLASIS, Pangasinan—Two barangay chairmen here, a barangay councilman in Alcala town, and a volunteer probation officer in Dagupan City have voluntarily surrendered their firearms to the authorities on Monday.

Chairman Francisco Laguna of Barangay Barangobong and Ruben Cariaso of Barangay Poblacion Zone 3, both of this town, have each turned over their .45 Armscor pistol for safekeeping to the Villasis Police during house visitation.

In Alcala, barangay kagawad candidate Arnold Torres of Barangay Pindangan Centro personally surrendered to the Alcala Police his Mosberg 12-gauge shotgun, whose license expired last Oct. 12, 2014.

Meanwhile, Rogelio Velasco, Volunteer Probation Assistant Officer at Dagupan City Parole and Probation office, personally turned over for safekeeping his firearms replica to the Dagupan City Police.
