BSP guarantees PH has enough money for COVID-19 vaccine

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) has ensured that the Philippines has enough means to purchase the vaccine against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) once it becomes available in the market.

According to BSP Governor Benjamin Diokno, the Philippines does not need to sell its assets for the vaccine. He believes that President Rodrigo R. Duterte’s statement on selling government assets for vaccine funds is only a joke.

In relation to this, Philippine Ambassador to the United States Jose Manuel Romualdez has already coordinated with the US to acquire the vaccine for the Philippines once it is available. – PTV News
