Bulacan anti-drug ops net 14 suspects

CAMP ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan — Fourteen drug suspects were arrested on Wednesday in separate buy-bust operations here as the Bulacan police relentlessly implemented an intensified campaign against illegal substances.

Senior Supt Chito Bersaluna, acting provincial director of the Bulacan Police Provincial Office, identified the arrested suspects as Froilan Roxas; Richard Alcaraz; Veronica Lopega; Marino Bragais; Raymart Interior; Jordan Yasay; Emmanuel Cruz; Joseph Esquivel; Vergel Esquivel; Roland Ruiz; Paul Anthony Manahan; Robert Maximo; David Rivera; and Liezel Eugenio.

Bersaluna said that 37 heat-sealed plastic sachets of suspected shabu and buy-bust money were confiscated during the operations conducted in the cities of Malolos,  Meycauayan and San Jose Del Monte; and in the towns of Balagtas; Plaridel; Norzagaray;  Obando; San Idelfonso and Baliwag.

He said the arrested suspects and seized pieces of evidence were brought to Bulacan Crime Laboratory Office for appropriate examination while criminal complaints against them are now being prepared for filing in court.
