Bulacan all set for ‘Oplan Kaluluwa 2017’

CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan — The emergency response teams in Bulacan are all set to assist motorists and give immediate emergency procedures when needed in line with the observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day.

Governor Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado said the provincial government, through the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) – Bulacan Rescue, is now on standby and monitoring the primary roads going in and out of the province.

Alvarado said that he has instructed the Bulacan Rescue Team to coordinate with all the local government units (LGUs) in the province through the city/municipal DRRMOs and other non-government organizations (NGOs) to set up first aid stations.

“Although we have been doing the ‘Oplan Kaluluwa’ yearly, we still instructed our Bulacan Rescue Team to coordinate with LGUs to ensure the safety of the Bulakenyos and other travelers,” he said.

The governor said personnel from the Bulacan Rescue, together with Provincial Engineers Office, five NGOs, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and Philippine National Police (PNP) will be deployed in the assistance booth and first aid station in front of the provincial capitol building here.
