The Commission on Appointments (CA) confirmed the appointment of Atty. Karlo B. Nograles as the new chairperson of the Civil Service Commission (CSC).

His term will expire in February 2029.

Nograles completes the CSC’s three-member Commission en banc, joining the two current CSC commissioners, Aileen Lourdes Lizada and Ryan Alvin Acosta.

Nograles served as the 1st District Representative of Davao City from 2010 to 2018 where he led the Committees on Labor and Employment and Appropriations for the 16th and 17th Congress.

He was appointed by former President Rodrigo Duterte in November 2018 as his Cabinet Secretary, where he also served as his presidential spokesperson and co-chair and spokesperson of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID). –ag
