MANILA — The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) on Saturday said all aircrafts operated by Lite Air Express are grounded pending results of investigations involving the Piper PA-23 Apache aircraft that crashed in Bulacan.
A six-seater twin-engined light aircraft with registry number RP-C299, which was bound for Laoag, Ilocos Norte, has crashed after its take off from Plaridel Airport past 11 a.m. Saturday.
Bulacan Police Provincial Director Senior Supt. Romeo Caramat Jr. said at least 10 bodies were retrieved from the crash site.
CAAP said its accident investigators and a team from the Flight Safety & Inspectorate Service (FSIS) were immediately dispatched to the crash site. (Ma. Cristina Arayata/PNA)
