Calabarzon RDC sets April 30 as deadline for research forum

CALAMBA CITY, Laguna – The Regional Development Council IV-A (Calabarzon) – Regional Research Committee (RRC) has set April 30 as the deadline for the submission of quality research papers from the academe, scientists, research institutions (public and private), and any research group or individual for the 5th Calabarzon Research Statistics Forum.

In a memorandum to all RDC members, RRC Chairperson Director IV Dr. Emmylou B. Yanga, said the research entries which will be selected are to be presented at the forum organized in collaboration with the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) – Calabarzon Research Council (CRC) slated for Oct. 18 this year.

Yanga also asked its members to help in disseminating information on the search and forum, which aim to showcase the findings of the research studies to promote the culture of research and strengthen the statistical capacities of academic institutions, government agencies and local government units (LGUs) in the region.

Search entries must contain the abstracts, accomplished registration form and endorsement from the head of agency/institution and should be submitted by email to [email protected] not later than the deadline set.

The research papers should contain results and findings relevant to Industry and Services; Agriculture, Hunting, Forestry and Fisheries; Infrastructure; Social Development (Health, Education, Gender, etc); Governance; and Environmental protection and natural resources management.

Entries may tackle more than one field but principal authors are only entitled to a maximum of two papers.

Research paper submissions must be completed within the past 5 years and must have been unpublished.

Research papers must also be compliant with the required format and entries that are not relevant to the fields of research identified will not be accepted.

All submissions will be reviewed by the Calabarzon RDC-RRC and qualified papers will be notified to submit their full paper on or before May 18.

The RDC RRC will not tolerate plagiarism or any other similar acts.
