TAGAYTAY CITY, Cavite — The Department of Tourism (DOT) Region 4-A (Calabarzon) will open a tourism expo showcasing various tourism destinations in the region at the Fora Mall here on Friday.

In an advisory, the DOT Media Communications Group said the event, dubbed as “Calabarzon Tourism Expo”, aims to highlight the best tourism destinations, culinary and cultural services in the provinces of Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon.

Besides the premiere tourism showcase, the expo will also highlight Calabarzon’s products, cultural presentations, cuisines and services.

Calabarzon is considered the nearest complete destination from Manila, where one, with just a few hours of land commute, could relax, enjoy, commune with nature and “walk” the pages of history with its countless leisure possibilities.

The region is also home to scenic spots, indigenous delicacies, famous farm tourism and learning sites, and its inspiring and admirable places are sure to provide harmony and serenity, healthy options, historical and cultural perspectives, delectable cuisines and a lot more.

City and DOT officials are expected to grace Friday’s opening event with DOT Undersecretary Arturo P. Boncato as keynote speaker.

Some of the activities for the occasion include the Regional Travel Exchange and Culinary event.
