State of calamity in Calanasan raised

The Municipality of Calanasan, Province of Apayao has raised state of calamity following the heavy rainfall brought about by the northeast monsoon and typhoon Quiel. In a resolution issued by the Sangguniang Bayan, there are already landslides, flood, and elevated water level in the area. By virtue of said resolution, the municipality’s quick response fund may now be utilized for rehabilitation purposes.

In the Municipality of Kabugao, a landslide claimed the lives of two individuals, Police Corporal Rommel Gumidam and board member Tolentino “Butz” Mangalao.
