Capitol workers’ smart kids get cash reward

LAOAG CITY — Ilocos Norte’s provincial government is giving cash incentives to children of Capitol workers who are performing well in school.

Fe Siazon, the provincial government’s Human Resource Management Officer, said Friday at least 23 children of Capitol workers who finished elementary, senior high school and college on top of their classes were given a reward for their academic performance.

Led by Senior Board Member Matthew Joseph Manotoc, the awarding ceremony was held at the Capitol session hall on Thursday, where each awardee received PHP6,000.

“The cash incentive is a great boost to our children, as well as to the proud parents,” said Siazon following the cash distribution.

Manotoc lauded the awardees for their hard work, and the parents for their unconditional support to their children.

For eight years now, the provincial government has continued to reward children who excel in various fields. (Leilanie Adriano/PNA)
