The third batch of COVID-19 vaccines for around 18,000 healthcare workers has arrived in the Caraga Region.

Department of Health in Caraga (DOH-Caraga) Regional Director Dr. Sadaila Raki-in said they have received 30 boxes of Sinovac COVID-19 vaccines equivalent to 36,000 doses.

“Nasa A1 na priority groups po pa rin tayo. We will try to cover all those na kabilang sa ating priority groups na nakalagay sa guidelines [We are still vaccinating the A1 priority groups. We will try to cover all those belonging to the priority groups included in the guideline],” Raki-in said.

The region is targeting to inoculate 53,362 healthcare workers. At least 19,270 individuals have already received their first dose, more than 600 of whom experienced common adverse effects such as fever and headache.
