Carlos named new PNP Aviation Security Group head

MANILA — Philippine National Police (PNP) spokesperson Chief Supt. Dionardo Carlos has been appointed head of the NAIA-based Aviation Security Group.

Carlos replaced Chief Supt. Sheldon Jacaban, who formally retired from the service Tuesday, a Radyo Pilipinas report said.

Present during the turnover ceremonies was PNP Director General Ronald dela Rosa.

Carlos, a member of the Philippine Military Academy Class of 1988, said he would continue the programs initiated by Jacaban to ensure the safety and well-being of passengers using the Philippines’ various airports.

He also vowed to implement the government’s ongoing campaign against criminality, illegal drugs, and terrorism to make the country’s airport more secure. (Priam Nepomuceno/PNA)
