Most areas in the country will experience rain showers due to the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) affecting Palawan, the Visayas, and Mindanao, and the shear line affecting the eastern section of northern Luzon.
MANILA – Northern Luzon will experience some rains on Saturday, with the shear line, or tail-end of a frontal system, affecting its eastern section and the rest affected by the northeast monsoon or “amihan”.
The tail-end of the frontal system may trigger flooding in major rivers in the Eastern Visayas region, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) warned on Tuesday.
The shear line or tail-end of a frontal system affecting the Visayas and northern section of Mindanao will cause rains over parts of these islands on All Saints' Day, the weather bureau said on Monday (Nov. 1).
