The southwest monsoon or habagat will bring rain showers across Luzon and Western Visayas on Friday as a new tropical cyclone (TC) is expected to enter the country over the weekend, the weather bureau said.
Typhoon "Egay" is now outside the Philippine area of responsibility, the state weather bureau reported Thursday. However, tropical cyclone wind signals are still hoisted over some parts of northern Luzon.

The southwest monsoon (habagat) continues to affect the country on Sunday, July 16, even as Tropical Storm “Dodong” is already outside the Philippine area of responsibility.
