“Neneng” made landfall over Calayan Island, Cagayan after intensifying into a severe tropical storm, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Sunday, Oct. 16.
Heavy rains may be experienced in northern Luzon starting Saturday following the entry of a tropical depression east of northern Luzon into the Philippine area of responsibility on Thursday noon, Oct. 13.
Tropical Depression Maymay is expected to maintain strength before making a landfall in Aurora province by Wednesday evening or early Thursday morning, the country’s weather bureau said.
Several areas in Luzon are now under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 1 due to Tropical Depression (TD) Maymay, the weather bureau said Tuesday.
