TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite – Around 10 patrol vehicles are set to beef up security and mobility of the provincial police, while new teaching equipment were turned over to the Department of Education (DepEd) to augment educational tools in Cavite schools on Monday.
Cavite Governor Jesus Crispin Remulla led the distribution of the 10 police patrol vehicles and the 17 robotics and 187 units of 55-inch smart television sets to DepEd-Cavite at the provincial capitol grounds here.
Cavite Provincial Police Director Senior Supt. William Segun formally received the symbolic key for the new patrol vehicles aimed at intensifying the government’s anti-criminality campaign and maintain peace and order in the province.
Remulla, who also chairs the Regional Peace and Order Council (RPOC IV-Calabarzon), also reaffirmed his commitment to sustaining support to the Philippine National Police (PNP) programs in his province.
He also disclosed the provincial government’s bigger plans for education, such as a possible online method of teaching and instruction.
The governor also encouraged teachers to use these tools effectively, as such projects came from people’s taxes.
Vice Governor Jolo Revilla joined Remulla during the turn-over of the police patrol cars graced by Cavite police provincial officials Ma. Charito Pabillare of PSAO); Provincial Operations and Plans head Supt. Francis Allan Reglos and the various chiefs of police Supt. Carlos Caceres (Gen. Trias City); Supt. Janet Arinabo (Naic); Supt. Paul Bometivo (Tanza); Police Chief Inspector Willy Salazar (Indang); PCI Rheden Manalo (Alfonso); PCI Dhefry Punzalan (Kawit); Senior Inspector Ferdinand Vergara (Amadeo); and PCI Romulo Dela Rea (Gen. Mariano Alvarez).
DepEd-Cavite officials also graced the event with Dr. Diana P. Topacio, OIC-Asst. Schools Division Superintendent; Dr. Elpidia B. Bengado, Chief, Curriculum-Implementation Division; Education Program Supervisor for Science Estrella M. De Vera; Jovit Mercado, Principal, Bulihan National High School; principals and teachers of other municipalities; and Roman Salazar, Office of the Provincial Governor Consultant on Education and Engr.
