Cebu airport cancels flights due to Typhoon Odette

By John Rey Saavedra / Philippine News Agency

The Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) announced Wednesday (Dec. 15) night the cancellation of flights, adjusting its servicing schedule due to Typhoon Odette.

Edilyth Maribojoc, the airport’s junior manager for corporate affairs of GMR Megawide Cebu Airport Corporation, said some flights bound for Cebu or originating from here to different destinations in the country were affected by the changes of schedule.

Maribojoc also said that a PAL flight from Cebu to Los Angeles (PR 153) has been rescheduled to Friday (Dec. 17) because of the typhoon, while a Cebu Pacific flight 5J 787 which is scheduled to fly from Manila to Butuan is to be diverted to Cebu on Thursday.
