Cebu Pacific cancels Osaka flights

MANILA — As Kansai International Airport remains closed, Cebu Pacific (CEB) cancelled on Wednesday flights between Manila and Osaka scheduled for Sept. 6.

These flights are 5J 828 Manila-Osaka, and 5J 827 Osaka-Manila.

Operations at Kansai International Airport have been suspended since Tuesday until further notice. The airport got flooded due to the storm surge brought by typhoon “Jebi.”

Japanese officials reported on Wednesday that the airport facilities and runway were damaged.

CEB also advised passengers that flights to and from Osaka may still be affected in the next few days.

Aside from rebooking and refund, passengers may also reroute their tickets to Narita or Nagoya, according to CEB.
