Cebu, Thanh Hoa battle for survival in Manila

MANILA — Global Cebu and Thanh Hoa will collide to keep their hopes of making it to the AFC Cup East Asia semifinals alive, at the Rizal Memorial Stadium here Wednesday night.
The Cebuano outfit and the Vietnamese club will battle it out during the 7:30 p.m. showdown that will serve as an eliminator.
The losing side will kiss its playoff hopes goodbye, while the other team can even move up to second place in Group G if Yangon loses in Bali.
Meanwhile, in Group F play, Negros can formalize its entry to the next round of the tournament if the reigning ASEAN zone champ beats Boeung Ket in their own clash in Cambodia, also on Wednesday night. (Ivan Stewart Saldajeno/PNA)
