Chacha revived at the Lower House

The proposed Charter Change (ChaCha) was brought up again at the Lower House of Congress. House Deputy Speaker Aurelio Gonzales Jr. says amending several provisions of the Constitution could help boost the economy. He hopes that fellow lawmakers of the 18th Congress would support the proposal. Among the highly debated amendments being pushed by the solons are the longer term for congressmen, shortened term for senators and removal of restrictions on foreign investments in the country. The business sector has expressed support for the proposed changes while some sectors think otherwise.
